Reception Parents - Intake September 2025

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to Tolworth School in September and are delighted that you have chosen us. Your child has been allocated a full time place in one of our Reception classes by the Local Authority and we hope your family will enjoy being part of our school community.    

Early in May you will be emailed a Tolworth School Pupil Admission Form. Please return it to the School Office or email it back to us at admin@tins.rbksch.org   A paper copy of the Tolworth Pupil Admission Form can also be collected from the school office.

If your child has a food allergy or intolerance it is important that you clearly highlight this on the Pupil Admission Form as our caterers, Harrisons, will need you to complete an additional form, in order that your child is served food that is safe for them to eat. 

We will also need to see your child's Birth Certificate or Passport for verification, before your child starts with us. Please bring this with the Admissions Form. We will be holding a New to Reception Parents Evening (adults only please) on Thursday 19th June starting at 6.45pm.  You can bring your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport to this meeting too or to one of the Transition Days, we can take a photocopy for our records and give it back to you.

The New Reception Parents Evening is an opportunity for you to learn more about our school, including how we will help your child to settle in and some of the ways in which we teach.  You may start the evening by meeting your child’s teacher and viewing the classroom. At 7pm there will be a short talk by Rachel Nye, Headteacher, followed by a further opportunity to ask about uniform, school meals and other aspects of school life which you may wish to find out about.  You may visit your child’s classroom before or after the talk. The evening should close by 8.15pm.    

We would appreciate it if children are not brought to this meeting as your child will have a chance to spend time in school on our Transition Days. We are holding TWO transition taster sessions this year, which will give your child time in school to meet their teacher, other staff in the Reception and some classmates.

Wednesday 2nd July 2025                           9.00am – 10.00am (for children currently attending Tolworth School Nursery)

                                                                                   10.30am – 11.30am (for all other children joining Reception) 

Wednesday 3rd September 2025            9.00am – 10.00am (for children currently attending Tolworth School Nursery)

                                                                                  10.30am – 11.30am (for all other children joining Reception)  

Your child can attend on both the dates above. You do not need to book but please attend the correct session.

Tolworth School Breakfast / After School Club and KOOSA Kids

Tolworth School run a Breakfast and After School Club and also work in partnership with KOOSA Kids after school club.
