Reception Parents-Intake September 2021

We look forward to welcoming you and your child to Tolworth School in September and are delighted that you have chosen us. Your child has been successful in gaining a full time place in one of our Reception classes and we look forward to welcoming you all to our school and hope your family will enjoy being part of our school community.

Please could you click on the link below and complete  the Pupil Admission Form and return it to the School Office or email it back to us at   A paper copy of the  Pupil Admission Form has also been posted to you.

Pupil Admission Form

If your child has a food allergy or intolerance it is important that you clearly highlight this on the Pupil Admission Form as our caterers Harrisons,  will need you to complete an additional form, in order that your child is served food that is safe for them to eat.

We will also need to see your child's Birth Certificate or Passport for verification, before your child starts with us. We are  going to hold a New Reception Parents Evening (adults only please) on Wednesday 30th June starting at 6.45pm.  If you could bring your child’s Birth Certificate or Passport to this meeting or to the Transition Days, we can take a photocopy for our records.

The New Reception Parents Evening is an opportunity for you to learn more about our school, how we will help your child to settle in and some of the ways in which we teach.  You may start the evening by meeting your child’s teacher and viewing the classroom. At 7.00pm there will be a short talk by Rachel Nye, Headteacher, followed by a further opportunity to ask about uniform, school meals and other aspects of school life which you may wish to find out about.  You may visit your child’s classroom before or after the talk. The evening should close by 8.15pm.
At this evening, you will also receive details of your child’s start date with us.

We would appreciate it if children are not brought to this meeting as your child will have a chance to spend time in school on our Transition Days. We are holding TWO transition taster sessions this year, which will give your child time in school to meet their teacher, other staff in the Reception and some classmates. The dates and times are below:

Wednesday 7th July  2021                     9.30am – 10.30am   or     1.30pm – 2.30pm

Thursday 2nd September  2021          9.30am – 10.30pm   or     1.30pm – 2.30pm

Your child can attend on both the dates above, but we ask that they attend either a morning or afternoon session on the two days. You do not need to book or advise us which sessions your child will be attending.

We also run a Breakfast and After School Club and for further information regarding this provision please click here. If you would like to apply for a place at the Club in September you will also need to complete the Breakfast and After School Club Registration Form and Booking Form below and return these to Mrs Lobo in the School Office or by email to These forms need to be returned by Friday 18th June 2021. Mrs Lobo will contact everyone who applies sometime during the first week of July to confirm whether we have been able to offer your child a place for the sessions you have requested. I would mention that the club is very popular and oversubscribed and we may be unable to accommodate all applications.

Please also visit the ‘Reception Parents – Intake September 2021 page’ on our school website ( ) where you will find more information about our Breakfast and After School Club, school uniform and handy tips for starting school.
